Taste it, then measure it
You taste a shot and think it’s a little weak. A VST coffee refractometer tells you exactly how strong it is, as a number you can repeat tomorrow and share with your team. It’s how roasters and serious cafés keep every cup on target.
Why measure TDS?
TDS (total dissolved solids) tells you how much coffee ended up in the cup. Combined with your dose and yield, it shows your extraction, so you can see whether a sour or bitter cup is under- or over-extracted.
