Ask us a questionChoosing your setup
Do I need to choose a machine first?
No. Most people start with how they drink coffee, not with a model name. Pick the morning that sounds most like yours — The everyday ritual, The home barista or The enthusiast — and the builder shows the machines and grinders that suit it.
If you'd rather not choose at all, send us an enquiry with your usual drink, bench space and budget, and we'll recommend a setup for you.
Which setup is right for me?
A simple way to decide:
- Home Essentials — your first proper espresso machine, or you mostly drink black coffee. Easy to learn and compact on the bench.
- Home Signature — flat whites and lattes every day, often for two or more people. Brews and steams at the same time, so back-to-back milk drinks are quick.
- Home Pro — you enjoy dialling in, switching between blends and single origins, and want precise temperature control.
Not sure between two? Tell us in the enquiry form and we'll talk you through the difference.
What's the difference between single boiler, heat exchanger and dual boiler?
It comes down to how the machine handles brewing and steaming milk:
- Single boiler (ECM Classika PID) — one boiler for both. Perfect for espresso and long blacks; you wait a moment between brewing and steaming.
- Heat exchanger (Bellezza Inizio R, ECM Mechanika Slim) — brew and steam at the same time from one large boiler. Great for daily milk drinks.
- Dual boiler (Bellezza Bellona and Francesca, ECM Synchronika) — separate boilers for brewing and steam, each with its own temperature. The most stable shots and strong steam.
Every machine on this page has PID temperature control, so your shots stay consistent.
Why Bellezza and ECM?
Both make well-built home machines with commercial-size 58mm portafilters, PID temperature control and stainless steel bodies — the same workflow our baristas use every day. Bellezza offers excellent value for the features; ECM is a long-established German maker known for build quality.
We picked one of each for every setup so you can choose on looks, budget or brand preference.
Why does the grinder matter so much?
Espresso is extracted in around 25–30 seconds, so the grind has to be fine, even and adjustable in tiny steps. A great machine with a poor grinder still makes a poor coffee.
That's why every setup pairs the machine with a grinder chosen for it. Single-dose grinders (Precision GS0, Mahlkönig X64 SD, Mazzer Philos) grind just what you need and make switching beans easy. Hopper grinders (Mahlkönig X54) hold beans ready to go for quick daily coffees.
Can I mix any machine with any grinder?
Yes. We suggest the grinders that suit each setup, but you can pair any grinder on this page with any machine — tap Show all grinders in the builder. The price and finance figure update as you go.
Can I keep my existing machine or grinder?
Of course. If you already have a good machine, you might only need a grinder — often the biggest upgrade you can make — or just better beans. Tell us what you have in the enquiry form and we'll suggest what's worth changing and what isn't.
Can I choose a different brand?
Yes. We can source most leading brands, including La Marzocco, Victoria Arduino, Rocket, Lelit, Profitec, Rancilio, Mazzer and Eureka. Pick the brands you'd like to compare in the brand picker and we'll send a personal quote — with a starting recipe and your free 1 kg of OmniSoul.
Pricing & payment
Do the prices include GST?
Yes. All prices on this page include GST. They're indicative — your written quote confirms stock, lead time, delivery and your final price before you pay anything.
What's included in the price?
Each setup includes:
- The espresso machine and grinder you choose
- A starting recipe for our beans — grind, dose and shot time
- A free 1 kg bag of our OmniSoul Blend
- The manufacturer's warranty, with us as your first point of contact
Delivery is confirmed in your quote. Accessories such as tampers, milk jugs, scales and water filters are available from our accessories shop.
Can I pay it off over time?
Yes, if you have an ABN that has been registered for two years or more. You can finance your setup over 2, 3, 4 or 5 years through our finance partner, Geared Finance:
- You own the machine from day one
- No deposit and no balloon payment at the end
- A one-off $275 establishment fee
- Approval usually within 24 hours — you'll need a quick online application and ID (driver licence and Medicare card)
The weekly figures in the builder are indicative and subject to approval. Business buyers may also be able to claim the equipment as a business expense — check with your accountant.
I don't have an ABN. How can I pay?
You can pay for your setup upfront by bank transfer or card. Our finance option is for businesses only, so if you'd like to spread the cost, a credit card or your own bank's personal finance may suit you better.
Delivery & getting started
Will you help me get started?
Yes. Every setup comes with our starting recipe for OmniSoul — 18 g in, 36 g out in 25–30 seconds — so you're not starting from scratch. Most people are pulling good shots within a few days of small adjustments.
If you get stuck, give us a call and we'll point you in the right direction.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on the model and stock. Many machines are ready to go within a week or two; some are made in small batches and take longer. We confirm the lead time in your quote before you commit.
Do you deliver outside Adelaide?
Yes, we can supply setups Australia-wide. Freight is confirmed in your quote. OmniSoul beans are delivered Australia-wide too.
Do I need to plumb it in?
No. Every machine on this page has its own water tank and plugs into a normal 10 amp power point. The Bellezza Inizio R and ECM Synchronika can also be plumbed into your water supply if you'd like — handy if you make a lot of coffee.
How much bench space do I need?
Allow roughly the width of the machine plus the grinder, with a little room either side and enough height to fill the water tank from the top. The Bellezza Bellona and ECM Mechanika Slim are the most compact. Tell us your bench measurements in the enquiry form and we'll check the fit.
Beans & looking after it
Which beans should I use?
Every setup comes with a free 1 kg of our OmniSoul Blend — Brazilian and Colombian specialty-grade beans with chocolate and nutty notes, roasted to taste great black or with milk. It's also the coffee your starting recipe is written for.
After that, subscribe and save 10% with fresh beans delivered to your door on your schedule. When you're ready to explore, try our single origins.
How long will 1 kg of beans last?
About 55 double shots at 18g each. For one or two coffees a day, that's roughly a month; for a household making four a day, about two weeks.
Should I use filtered water?
Yes. Adelaide's water can be fairly hard, and scale is the most common cause of machine problems. A water filter or softener protects your boiler and makes your coffee taste better. We can recommend one when we quote, or see the water filters in our accessories shop.
How do I look after my machine?
A few minutes of care keeps it running for years:
- Every day — purge the group after each shot, wipe the steam wand straight away and empty the drip tray.
- Every week — backflush the group with espresso machine cleaner and soak your baskets.
- Every few months — clean the grinder burrs and check your water filter.
- Every year or so — replace the group gasket and shower screen if they're worn.
Your machine's manual covers the details for your model.
Warranty & service
What warranty is included?
New machines and grinders come with the manufacturer's warranty, which is at least 12 months. We're your first point of contact — if something isn't right, call us and we'll arrange the warranty claim and repair for you.
Who services my machine?
Around Adelaide, we can arrange servicing through our local technician partner, quoted separately when you need it. Most home machines only need a service every year or two if they're cleaned regularly and used with filtered water.
